What you get in Excel
- One row per transaction: date, description, money in, money out, a signed amount column and the balance.
- Real Excel dates and numbers, not text, so SUM and filters work straight away.
- A Checks sheet with the opening and closing balance, totals in and out, and whether every printed balance agrees.
Why the balance check matters
Most converters copy whatever they can read. Tallyrows also adds up every row against the running balance printed on your statement, and against the opening and closing balance. If a row is missing or a sign is wrong, the totals won't agree and the row is highlighted before you export.
Which banks work?
Any bank or credit card statement that's a real PDF (not a photo) is read instantly in your browser: split Money in / Money out columns, single signed amounts, CR/DR markers, multi-page statements with balances carried forward. Scans and unusual layouts are read by our AI reader instead, and checked the same way.
